Boston’s #1 Sightseeing Experience

Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary is made of a shallow submarine platform formed by receding glaciers about 18,000 years ago. Located 25 miles east of Boston, it spans an area of 842 square miles. This area is protected to allow whales to feed. In addition to humpback and Minke whales, you may also see White-Sided dolphins, Bluefin Tuna, and Northern Lobster in the Stellwagen Bank area.
Camera, glasses, sunscreen, extra film, and rubber-soled footwear. Since it can be cooler at sea, we suggest warm clothing.
On board you will find professional marine biologists as naturalists. Our naturalists are one of the major contributors to national and international research programs. You will find their knowledge of whales and other marine wildlife extremely enjoyable.
